My Cycle Schedule- Round 4

IVF NEW JERSEY
“TYPICAL” ANTAGONIST (CETROTIDE) TREATMENT CYCLE using birth control pills

• Monday 10/18 Take last birth control pill today.
• Wednesday 10/20 FDA Screening bloodwork, urine and donor exams for you and your husband. Review schedule and injection administration. Blood test and ultrasound. Sign consents with Dr. Treiser.
• Friday 10/22 and Saturday 10/23 Provided all goes well, you will begin stimulation meds as directed: 2 Menopur + 150 Follistim + ½ cc H20. You will be on the stimulation medication for a total of 7-10 days. You should not be having unprotected intercourse from this point on. Husband/partner begins Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 7 days on Friday 10/22.
• Sunday 10/24 Blood test
• Tuesday 10/26 Blood test and ultrasound. The doctor will advise you as to when to begin the antagonist (Cetrotide). From here your visits will likely be everyday.
• ~Friday 10/29 Husband should come in for FDA testing. Please call Jill on 10/28 to confirm that timing is correct.
• Day of HCG-10,000 units You will be given a SPECIFIC time to take your HCG injection. Mix HCG powder vial with 1cc of the fluid and administer as a subcutaneous injection.
• Day after HCG
• (Day before retrieval) Blood test in A.M. and also pick up pre-operative instructions.
• NO medications today-Day of retrieval- Week of 10/31, Probably midweek Please arrive on time with you partner. Upon arriving home, begin Cipro XR 500 mg once daily for four days.
• Day after retrieval You should receive a call today regarding fertilization results.
• On the day of the retrieval, we will require a semen sample from your husband. It is important that he ABSTAIN 2-3 DAYS, not longer

Please remember that you will need the entire day off from work for the retrieval.

Well I hope this goes according to plan, then we ship and wait....because we're not sure when to try with our batch. I would do it ASAP but hubby takes the lead on this one. I have been basing all my decisions on emotion and it hasn't worked thus far. He will calculate finances and timing. I feel like this is taking sooo long. (sigh)
