Title edited due to high volume of Freak outs, racing heartbeats, and brain freeze followed by sighs and relief after reading further...oh my! hehe
Like many others we find ourselves cautious and excited but cant seem to start anywhere...other than having a list in our MIND..hehe. We aren't quite 1/2 way there but almost so we need to get off our butts. We have been waiting for this for SOOOO long and now that we are here, we have no clue what to do or where to start. These are the questions we have and the answers come very quickly (its a pattern i think now)
On the baby front- all is well and surrogate is fine, HR- 148 from our last scan but it dropped a bit from the previous month (it was HR-165) anything to be concerned about?? i hope not..can we tell if its a boy or girl from heartbeat??
So what are we to do in our time of tranquility? :)

- Do we start the nursery? um, no..too soon...
- Do we register? um no..too soon..
- Do we buy anything? um no..too soon...
- Do we look at flights? um no...too soon
- Do we look into accomodations? um no..too soon

We did nothing til' week 29 - who knows when you will be comfortable enough...it will just happen!
Mandy, so happy that it is your time at last! My advice is to enjoy your last few month or two of freedom -- go to the movies, go out to dinner, and enjoy it all unemcumbered by bottles, diapers, and a million other baby needs. Have you told your friends yet? They need to start organizing the mother of all baby showers!
It is said that girl fetuses have faster heart rate than boy fetuses. This said one must also remember that heart rate may differ a lot depending on whether the little one is asleep or awake and active. So, just enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to your big surprise when the baby comes :)
I agree with Kerrie. The title scared me too. I also agree with Stephanie. Take care of you and Rick. You will know when the time is right for all the other stuff. If you are not doing a major redo to the bedroom, you can get it set up in a weekend. You sound like a high energy girl so I have faith you could do major shopping in a weekend too. Glad the baby is well.
OMG girlie, change the title!!!! You just gave me a heart attack too. So what do you do now? Nothing until you're ready. Really like Stephanie's response to get that baby shower organised (by someone else) so you have even less to do. You can always get everything in India, so make sure you have somewhere for bubs to sleep in before you head over for birth and you'll be fine.
OMG, I did not realize that you had a positive. Congrats to you, its been a long time coming! When Mark was born, we had very little in his room. I started ordering lots of things once we were back home.
