And they're off

It might have just been a national holiday for us this weekend. It was the Kentucky Derby....we are (my DAD!!!) is such a horse lover. I sat on the couch with my hubby for 6 hours watching each and every race until the Derby was run. It was thrilling to watch the underdog win....and my dad called 5 seconds afterwards and said he won....not much because we are not gamblers....so we dont get excited because we won $$...we truley love the sport. As i watched the races...the horses i picked came in first and the other came in second (hubby's horse came in first).....i would yell and say "i am my fathers child...oh no..lol...". i never would have thought i have so many qualities as my dad...i just thought of him as a strict family man. lol.

Back to the surrogacy world....well Mother's Day....never really bothered me but i guess it does but not too much. i will be away this weekend to Connecticut, really busy weekend as i have to make my rounds when i am there. So here is my itinerary---Friday, get out of work, get balloons (mothers day and graduation), drive 3 hours to CT, go to my couisns BBQ and then to my parents. Saturday, go to my best friends house to see her NEWBORN baby and have lunch, drive 1 hour back to my parents and spend time with them,go to my cousins graduation ceremnoy from UCONN, sunday, spend time with mom and dad, then drive 3 hours back to Jersey to spend time with his mom. WHEW!!!!!! lots of traveling and seeing family & friends. CANT WAIT.....they havent see us since we got back from India. i took time off from everyone. I just dread the question "so when are u guys having kids?"....AHHHH......
