Welcome new baby!!

My friend gave birth on Wed. April 15th to her beloved late comer. It was rough and long, but he came out 9lbs 9oz....YEAH i know....but he made it. She came out of the hospital on Saturday and the baby is still in for monitoring for about a week. My hubby is the authorized person to go see the baby and get info (since we are the God Parents) and we have been so tired for the past week with hospitals and visits....the daddy is in another state getting their beautiful house ready and mommy is trying to get well. So we have stepped to the plate as support. I have been so attached to the baby is so surreal. I havent really been attached to a baby for a long time and i keep thinking we could have been picking up our baby in November back in India, but things happen.

I saw my hubby with the baby for the past few days and he looks so comfortable and at peace. He's so good with the baby i need not worry when we have our own...lol. the way he talks to t he baby and hold him, i just love to watch them together.

Saturday night, a few family members visited her and everyone was around and chatting. The conversation came up "so when are you guys, gonna have a baby?"....i said "well i'm not ready and we have tons of places to see and we're still young." Then they continued by saying "now is the time to have your baby, you wont have any problems, your so petite and dont worry, we're here to help you push....dont be scared...we'll say push..pushh....lol" i wanted to die, i just brushed it off and laughed. what in the world am i suppose to say? i always know what to say i guess in any situation.

We havent really discussed SI or anything else anymore. We know we are going with SI and i think i'm looking at March, i dont want to rush anything again. I wish my hubby was more of a talker and say whats on his mind. i know he supports me, but doesnt really say when he wants to go or anything. i'll manage. i will look for support and "how to" from my fellow surro buddies. :)
