Nothing is guarenteed

I realize today that nothing is guarenteed....(in life or the surrogacy world) once you get a positive its 9 months of being scared because you are so far away. A fellow surro-buddy lost her twins because of a fall, another at 22 weeks, sometimes in the very beginning they dont find a heart beat. Its so heart wrenching.

With that said, i never really had a side on abortion, and nor do i want to, its such a personal choice. However, i didnt really think it was right unless it was a real situation where you want to abort the baby because it was from being raped, or something like that. BUT it concerns me that a friend of mine wants to have one today. I was very upset and she has NO reason to. Stay at home mom, with an infant, husband works, has a house and is a middle class person. She says she cant take the labor pains and the 9 months. I understand but then she should have tied her tubes, instead of paying to abort. I'm just so saddened because the husband wants to keep it but its ultimately her decision.

It hurts because i cant have one and people have them and just throw them away. I told the husband we would take the baby but i think he thought we were joking....and said her mind is made up. We did enjoy our time with our god-son (her baby) and thought he could of had a sister or brother to play with. Its not up to me i guess but i really dont agree and it hurts. It will be my turn just not today.

Yes, it is all horrible at times. But the majority of couples have a good experience ... and those experiences keep us hopeful.

No pregnancy is guaranteed. In surrogacy or carrying ourselves. But in the main, most people, after a few tries, get through this okay.
