What a weekend!

I decieded to visit my parents in CT this weekend, to spend time with them before i head out to India. They are about 3 hrs from us so we dont get to see them often. My hubby had to work so it was a solo trip. I got there and since it was a surprise visit...my dad came to the door and looked 3x's out the window before he let me in. It was 6 degree's F, so i was yelling, "dad open the door its me." He had a smile from ear to ear and tried to fool my mom by saying "oh someone rang the bell and left.." she answered him and said "who would do that?" as she walked out the kitchen she yelled "oh my god!" and i was swarmed with hugs and kisses...IT'S NICE TO BE MISSED.

I spent time with them and then my sister came home and my brother so it was nice to hang out. On Saturday, i went to dinner with my sister and my cousin (who is more a sister) and waited (no lie) 2 hours for a table at Cheesecake Factory....we waited because we had nothing else to do and it was freezing outside. It was nice, we talked about our childhood and old memories of dating and our old party life and how we always got caught!

Coming back home was a lil sad because i always miss my family, since i come from a HUGE family (my dad is 1 of 15) and they all live a block away from wach other and their kids live a block away with their kids.....LOL, we occupy the tristate area. (FYI-my hubby's dad is 1 of 15 as well, our wedding was 550 people!!!!) Since its just my hubby and me (his mom and brother are close by, but its not the same...although i am happy to be far because i like the alone time and privacy!! its a bonus).

I am looking forward to our trip and experience. I am praying for a positive, as many of us who pursue this hope for! But i really want a positive and hope for healthy outcomes. Its the only thing on my mind, as i went to do my blood work last week and have heard nothing yet, i hope everything is ok, i know she wanted to test something again, i dont know why, but please lets pray about it. I'll keep posting as i get closer to my departure date...only 5 days left...

No, i have not told a soul...until we are PAST 12 weeks and only tell our parents, siblings and theh cousins who see us all the time, no one will understand our choice. They are very old-school.
